Personal History
Having a great respect for historic design and architecture, I have always enjoyed blending the old with the new to create a modern interpretation of a classic. Be it Mid Century Modern, California Spanish, or Elegant Traditional.
My early design training began in 1980 working for the late Steve Chase. This gave me a invaluable introduction to the Interior Design Business. At Steve Chase Associates, I learned all the basics: beginning with Installation Technician, Inventory Control and Accounting Techniques and Order Production. I later became a Design Associate. We traveled the country working on incredible homes for the rich and famous.
After 8 years at SCA, I had the opportunity to open my own Design Firm on El Paseo in Palm Desert, CA. I began my solo career working on numerous model home projects in California and Arizona for Dividend Development Corperation as well building a personal clientele in the Desert and in the Northern California Bay area. Several of those early clients became repeat clients through the years and led to a wonderful referral base.
In 1995 I moved my offices to Palm Springs (having lived here since 1978) where I continue my career working on luxury residences not only in the Desert but in San Francisco, Saratoga CA, Atherton, San Jose as well as LakeTahoe, NV and Hawaii.
